Since 1967, Cambrian College has been the leading post-secondary institution in Northern Ontario. The College has a vibrant community of more than 4,800 students and over 1,600 international students from over 40 countries. Cambrian College offers over 80 full-time programs, across three campus locations in northern Ontario: Sudbury, Espanola, and Little Current / Manitoulin Island. As well, Cambrian College provides students with a wide range facilities and support students preparing them for success in today’s competitive work places.
At Cambrian College education is the total package students will be given practical, hands-on experience in every program. Hands-on learnings at Cambrian College provides students with opportunities through applied research, co-ops, placements, and community projects. - Location: The City of Greater Sudbury, where Cambrian College is based, serves as the education, health care, business, shopping and entertainment hub of Northern Ontario. In addition Greater Sudbury is built on the Sudbury basin, a nearly two-billion year-old impact crater (the second largest on earth!).

College Diploma - Fitness and Health Promotion
This program provides students with a blend of fitness education and health promotion principles in order to meet the growing demand for health professionals that are qualified to deliver programs that emphasize active living. The program will help students develop the skills and knowledge to change and inspire the lives of others through courses that focus on health promotion, individual and group exercise programming, nutrition, fitness assessment, and recreation management.
Students will have the opportunity to obtain certifications in the field of health and fitness:
- • Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology Certified Personal Trainer (CSEP-CPT) designation,
- • Fitness certifications with the Ontario Fitness Council,
- • Specialty certifications with Sport for Life, High Five, and the National Coaching Certification Program.
This program is the only Fitness and Health Promotion program in Ontario with an outdoor recreation course. Enjoy being active in the outdoors and what northern Ontario has to offer through camping trips and more! The indoor facilities include fully-equipped weight rooms, a cardio room, a multi-purpose room, squash courts, double gymnasium, and a stretching area. Student will also have exclusive access to a state-of-the-art multi-purpose/functional fitness and assessment laboratory to enhance students exercise science knowledge on new and traditional equipment. Outdoor facilities include running track, soccer/football field, baseball diamond, and beach volleyball courts.
College Diploma - Early Childhood Education
This program requires valid language test results
Applicants interested in applying for direct admission, but are yet to complete an acceptable language test, can do so, but must provide valid results before receiving a final offer letter.
This program offers conditional admissions
For conditional admission, instead of submitting language proficiency test scores, applicants may complete English courses prior to the academic program. The length of the English course is determined based on the applicant’s level of English proficiency.
