Since 1967, Cambrian College has been the leading post-secondary institution in Northern Ontario. The College has a vibrant community of more than 4,800 students and over 1,600 international students from over 40 countries. Cambrian College offers over 80 full-time programs, across three campus locations in northern Ontario: Sudbury, Espanola, and Little Current / Manitoulin Island. As well, Cambrian College provides students with a wide range facilities and support students preparing them for success in today’s competitive work places.
At Cambrian College education is the total package students will be given practical, hands-on experience in every program. Hands-on learnings at Cambrian College provides students with opportunities through applied research, co-ops, placements, and community projects. Furthermore, Cambrian College was just recently recognized as one of Canada’s top 50 research colleges. As well, students will learn from expert faculty who are connected to industry and recognized research specialist.

- Location: The City of Greater Sudbury, where Cambrian College is based, serves as the education, health care, business, shopping and entertainment hub of Northern Ontario. In addition Greater Sudbury is built on the Sudbury basin, a nearly two-billion year-old impact crater (the second largest on earth!).

College Diploma - Protection, Security and Investigation
Cambrian’s Law and Justice programs will train students for diverse job opportunities in law enforcement, corrections, community services, and corporate and private security. Students will learn from professors who use their expertise and real-world experiences from the field to prepare students for the realities and rewards of careers that put you on the frontline of community safety.
In this program, students will learn the fundamentals of criminology, sociology, psychology, and the criminal justice system which will ultimately prepare students for a wide-ranging career paths including policing, private security, and the Canadian Forces.
College Diploma - Police Foundations
Cambrian College’s Police Foundations programs lend of in-class assignments, scenario training, fitness components, and community work complement topics covered by the Ontario Police College and assist in preparing students for potential employment with a police service. Extensive involvement in community initiatives, training with the Ontario Provincial Police, and participation in crime prevention projects with the Greater Sudbury Police Service offer students opportunities to network and volunteer within the community alongside working professionals. Further interaction with currently serving officers is provided as all local police agencies are represented within the program’s part-time faculty.
This program requires valid language test results
Applicants interested in applying for direct admission, but are yet to complete an acceptable language test, can do so, but must provide valid results before receiving a final offer letter.
This program offers conditional admissions
For conditional admission, instead of submitting language proficiency test scores, applicants may complete English courses prior to the academic program. The length of the English course is determined based on the applicant’s level of English proficiency.
