Since 1967, Cambrian College has been the leading post-secondary institution in Northern Ontario. The College has a vibrant community of more than 4,800 students and over 1,600 international students from over 40 countries. Cambrian College offers over 80 full-time programs, across three campus locations in northern Ontario: Sudbury, Espanola, and Little Current / Manitoulin Island. College Diploma - Environmental Technician
At Cambrian College turn a passion for the environment into a career that helps protect, maintain, and restore the natural surroundings. Gain the technical skills and practical field experience to identify, measure, and record environmental variables within the air, water, soil and living organisms. This program prepares students to perform appropriate sampling, use state-of-the-art equipment, and assist in the remediation and long-term evaluation and monitoring of contaminated ecosystems. The program will prepare students to work on a variety of projects related to climate change issues, water conservation and management, and other sustainability issues. Throughout the program, students will also build their knowledge of pertinent environmental regulations and policies.
College Diploma - Chemical Engineering Technician
In this two-year diploma program, students will be training for an exciting career as a chemical technician gaining hands-on experience needed to perform their duties with the precision required in a broad range of industries. With Cambrian College’s campus located in Sudbury, Ontario, the mining capital of Canada, our program has a unique focus that will build students knowledge and skills in analytical, inorganic and organic chemistry, and laboratory techniques.
Students will learn industry-standard lab practices through group work and independent studies, including sampling, analysis, proper use of instruments, quality assurance/quality control, and health and safety.
This program requires valid language test results
Applicants interested in applying for direct admission, but are yet to complete an acceptable language test, can do so, but must provide valid results before receiving a final offer letter.
This program offers conditional admissions
For conditional admission, instead of submitting language proficiency test scores, applicants may complete English courses prior to the academic program. The length of the English course is determined based on the applicant’s level of English proficiency.
