Since 1967, Cambrian College has been the leading post-secondary institution in Northern Ontario. The College has a vibrant community of more than 4,800 students and over 1,600 international students from over 40 countries. Cambrian College offers over 80 full-time programs, across three campus locations in northern Ontario: Sudbury, Espanola, and Little Current / Manitoulin Island. As well, Cambrian College provides students with a wide range facilities and support students preparing them for success in today’s competitive work places.
At Cambrian College education is the total package students will be given practical, hands-on experience in every program. College Diploma - Electrical Engineering Technician
Cambrian College’s Electrical Engineering Technician – Industrial program is modeled after the Level 1 and 2 Trade School portions of the Ontario Electrician Apprenticeship. It includes practical, hands-on experience and in-class theoretical learning. Students will gain knowledge in the design, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of typical electrical circuits, all the way up to complex electrical machinery. Students will also apply electrical safety code and print reading knowledge to residential, commercial and industrial installations. In addition, students will be introduced to AutoCAD Electrical, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), power electronics, and Instrumentation.
College Diploma - Mechanical Engineering Technician
This program requires valid language test results
Applicants interested in applying for direct admission, but are yet to complete an acceptable language test, can do so, but must provide valid results before receiving a final offer letter.
This program offers conditional admissions
For conditional admission, instead of submitting language proficiency test scores, applicants may complete English courses prior to the academic program. The length of the English course is determined based on the applicant’s level of English proficiency.
