Confederation College is a designated learning institution (DLI), and is therefore eligible to register international students, as per the requirements of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

College Diploma - Recreation Therapy
Recreation is important for everyone as a way to relax and keep balance in their lives. But for some with physical, cognitive, emotional and/or social limitations, recreational therapy is also a way to connect and participate with others. Graduates will learn how to help!
Confederation College’s Recreation Therapy program will give students the skills and knowledge they will need to plan, implement and evaluate a wide range of leisure services for children, adolescents and adults who experience barriers to a healthy leisure lifestyle. Students will learn how to work with individuals and groups of all ages to assess their needs and interests so students can encourage independent and personally fulfilling leisure lifestyles. Coursework includes therapeutic recreation, developmental psychology, program and event planning, communications for community services, marketing and public relations, treatment and adaptive technology and recreation facilities.
Graduates of the Recreation Therapy program find work in a variety of settings including hospitals, retirement homes, supportive housing complexes, correctional centres, rehabilitation/treatment centres, government agencies, long term care centres, community non-profit agencies, developmental disability service providers, school and inclusion service agencies.
College Diploma - Environmental Technician
Through Confederation College’s Environmental Technician two-year diploma program, you will learn to effectively manage natural and man-made environments. This program will explore environmental issues and provide hands-on tools for assessing, protecting and restoring ecosystems. Best of all, you’ll learn in one of the greatest natural labs available: the ancient Boreal Forest, a rich and diverse forest ecosystem that stretches around the world. Courses cover a wide variety of related topics including natural resource measurements, surveying, soils & geomorphology, plant biology, ecology, hydrogeology and environmental legislation.
