One of the largest government-funded colleges in Ontario, Mohawk College’s enrollment includes more than 4,000 international students from more than 90 countries around the world. Mohawk College is proud to offer students a rich learning environment that includes an amazing variety of experiential learning opportunities from co-op programs to labs and simulations. The dynamic faculty teach 170 programs in various specialties which include healthcare, technology and business, skilled trades, as well as a vast array of other subjects. There are over 100 programs open to international students.
The international student population is a thriving part of Mohawk College’s culture. Mohawk College supports international students with dedicated staff, services, social opportunities, language training and more. There are events just for international students, such as student success workshops, film recommendations, coffee clubs to get to know other students, and much more. In addition, international students come from around the world to learn English from English-speaking teachers in the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) ESL programs.
Why Mohawk College - Fennell
- Campus: The Fennell campus is the largest of Mohawk College’s campuses. It is located at the edge of the Hamilton escarpment in Hamilton, Ontario.
- Facilities: Fennell Campus has undergone the largest renovation in Mohawk College’s history. Re-designed as a welcoming place to live and learn, the renewal has created a modernized space while enhancing energy efficiency, barrier-free access and more. Students have access to state-of-the-art equipment and modern facilities such as the David Braley Athletic & Recreation Centre and the Digital Print Lab.
- Location: Hamilton is one of Canada’s largest cities with over half a million people. Located just one hour away from Toronto, Hamilton is a vibrant and diverse city. Even though Hamilton is a big city with many restaurants, shops, and art galleries, the city is also known for its nature. Hamilton is the “Waterfall Capital of the World” with over 100 waterfalls in the area. There are thousands of acres of parkland to explore and hike on.

College Diploma - Business - Marketing - Fast Track
- Emphasis on practical, hands-on learning prepares students to excel in a marketing or sales career.
- Study with professors who have worked as marketing professionals and bring their expertise to the classroom.
- Upon completion of a common first semester, students may choose to transfer into second semester of one of the following programs:

Learning outcomes:
- How to conduct market research and create marketing strategies for real clients.
- Verbal and written communication skills as students prepare reports and presentations.
- Web marketing strategies and tools.
- Use computer simulation to model an international product launch.
Fast Track allows students to complete a two-year Diploma program (non co-op) in 16 months. Students will study for the 16 months consecutively, without a summer break.
College Diploma - Insurance - Fast Track
- Over 90% of graduates obtain an insurance career position once they graduate.
- Mohawk has over 40years experience in educating insurance professionals. The insurance industry provides awards and scholarships in the amount of $10,000 annually.
- Very close links with the property and casualty (P&C) insurance industry.
- Upon completion of a common first semester, students may choose to transfer into second semester of one of the following programs:

Learning outcomes:
- Prepare for professional designations from the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) and the Insurance Institute of Canada.
- Complete, on an accelerated basis, nine out of ten credits required for the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada.
Fast Track allows students to complete a two-year Diploma program (non co-op) in 16 months. Students will study for the 16 months consecutively, without a summer break.
This program requires valid language test results
Applicants interested in applying for direct admission, but are yet to complete an acceptable language test, can do so, but must provide valid results before receiving a final offer letter. (Varies based on student nationality)
This program offers conditional admissions
For conditional admission, instead of submitting language proficiency test scores, applicants may complete English courses prior to the academic program. The length of the English course is determined based on the applicant‘s level of English proficiency.
