Red River College Polytechnic is Manitoba’s polytechnic — the only institute of applied research and work-integrated learning in the province, and one of only 13 polytechnics in Canada. At RRC Polytech, they combine classroom theory with work-integrated learning, giving students access to flexible learning pathways and real-world experience.
The Notre Dame Campus (NDC) is RRC Polytech’s largest campus and only a few short minutes from the Winnipeg International Airport. This location features efficient public transportation routes with transit buses that easily connect to the rest of the city. Large parking lots within the campus also allow students to drive and park safely. The Notre Dame Campus is home to RRC Polytech’s athletic teams, the Rebels.

College Diploma - Child and Youth Care
Child and youth care is a dynamic profession that is fundamentally based on one’s ability to build and experience relationships with others. It is through relationship that students will be able to support young people with their life challenges.
This diploma program provides graduates with the foundational knowledge and practical experiences to begin working alongside of children, youth, families and communities. Graduates work from a trauma informed, relational, and anti-oppressive framework, supporting community members towards individualized growth, development and self-motivated transformation.
The skill-oriented courses deliver students the opportunities to engage in learning how to facilitate assessments and interventions that are developmentally considerate and utilize evidence based best practice. The professional competencies driven by National Standards are woven into the curriculum, delivered as a tapestry of knowledge and practice, supporting students to begin their journey in the diverse field of Child and Youth Care as professionals that adhere to the foundational attitudes of practice.
College Diploma - Disability and Community Support
In this diploma program, students will develop the knowledge, skills, and values required to support and enhance the lives of people with disabilities. Students will develop their ability to partner with community to support an inclusive society.
They will gain skills and experience to support people with disabilities in their relationships and pursuits in a variety of settings, such as homes, schools, workplaces, community, and alternative day services. Students will experience a variety of Direct Support Professional roles through their practicum or fieldwork. On practicum and in class, students new to community living support will learn alongside experienced Direct Support Professionals.
