Seneca offers more than an education. With campuses throughout the Greater Toronto Area, Seneca’s size and diversity give students the advantage of partnerships with industry leaders, the latest in hands-on computer technology, a variety of class sizes, and full-time, part-time and continuing education options. Education should be flexible and accessible, so Seneca also employs various methods of teaching – from in-class lectures and online learning to co-op and field placements – in programs related to applied arts, business, financial services and technology.
Several schools are located at the Seneca@York campus located on the grounds of York University, including the Animation Arts Centre, Communication Arts, Computer Studies and Biological Science and Applied Chemistry, as well as Corporate Communications and Technical Communication programs.

Participate in group activities to the GTA’s many attractions like the CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium, Casa Loma castle, the Ontario Science Centre, the Toronto Zoo, The Art Gallery, and the Royal Ontarion Museum. Students can also partake in ice skating, go-karting, movie nights, shopping, skiing, bowling, international days and more.
College Diploma - Social Service Worker
In Social Service Worker (SSW) two-year diploma program, students will gain the required knowledge and skills for the human service field and be challenged to examine their own values and beliefs to make a meaningful contribution to the profession. Students’ studies will include a range of topics in styles of lecture and tutorial-based, utilizing assigned texts which stress interpersonal skills, group dynamics, interviewing, counselling, relationship-building, community development and social policy By combining their theoretical knowledge and field placement experiences they will also take part in a variety of classroom, seminar and experiential modalities. Upon graduation, students will possess a comprehensive set of human service skills which are transferable to a wide range of settings and employment options.

College Diploma - Journalism
The two-year diploma program in Journalism will provide students with hands-on training for multiple platforms — broadcast, video, audio, multimedia, online and social media. They will work in integrated newsrooms across all platforms. Starting on students’ first day, they will be in the field reporting and giving a voice to issues that matter. As the program develops, students can specialize in sports, entertainment, aboriginal/environmental issues, investigative journalism, hosting/anchoring or documentary/multimedia presentations.
