About
Seneca offers more than an education. With campuses throughout the Greater Toronto Area, Seneca’s size and diversity give students the advantage of partnerships with industry leaders, the latest in hands-on computer technology, a variety of class sizes, and full-time, part-time and continuing education options. Education should be flexible and accessible, so Seneca also employs various methods of teaching – from in-class lectures and online learning to co-op and field placements – in programs related to applied arts, business, financial services and technology.
King Campus is located in a natural setting on 282 hectares of woods, lake and fields about 40 minutes north of Toronto. It is home to full and part-time programs in the areas of applied arts and health sciences.
Why Seneca College - King
- Campus life: Students have the opportunity to get involved in athletics and physical activity through recreational leagues and fully equipped fitness centers, or join one of 80+ clubs and associations offered at the College. Students can become part of the Seneca Student Federation which helps students engage with the Seneca community, building lasting relationships, while having fun in the process.
- Services: A student’s transition to life at Seneca is made as easy as possible with International Student Services which includes free airport pickup, housing/accommodation assistance, orientation, academic advisors, counselling, free English assistance and peer tutoring, and international student clubs.
- Real-world experience: Seneca believes in creating great student experiences that provide enriching learning opportunities — both inside and outside of the classroom. This includes immersing oneself in the workplace as part of a work term or field placement or expanding one’s skillset by studying abroad. These enriching experiences will give students an edge when they enter the workforce or pursue further studies.
- Location: All of Seneca’s campuses are located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Toronto is the largest city in Canada and one of the world’s most multi-cultural cities with over 70 ethnic groups and more than 140 spoken languages and dialects. Participate in group activities to the GTA’s many attractions like the CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium, Casa Loma castle, the Ontario Science Centre, the Toronto Zoo, The Art Gallery, and the Royal Ontarion Museum. Students can also partake in ice skating, go-karting, movie nights, shopping, skiing, bowling, international days and more.

When students graduate from this program, these are the types of career options that they can explore:
• Instructional therapist
• Behaviour technician
• Educational assistant
• Educational resource facilitator
• Employee of group homes, community living centres and other specialized agencies
College Diploma - Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant
An Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Assistant is a versatile healthcare professional who assists licensed occupational therapists and physiotherapists in providing comprehensive rehabilitative care to patients. With a broad skill set, they support individuals of various age groups in enhancing their physical, cognitive, emotional, and developmental well-being. By implementing treatment plans, guiding patients through exercises, teaching adaptive techniques and monitoring progress, these professionals contribute to improving functional independence, mobility, and overall quality of life. Their dedication helps patients recover from injuries, surgeries and medical conditions, facilitating their journey towards regaining strength, flexibility and overall physical well-being.
Ontario has seen a growing need to support the aging population, individuals with disabilities as well as those with rehabilitative needs or injuries. Occupational therapists, physiotherapists and their assistants are much needed health care professionals responsible for helping individuals to recover and maintain their physical abilities while managing functional limitations associated with a range of acute/chronic conditions.
Unique to Seneca’s approach, in the first semester of the program students will learn two-eyed seeing; a theoretical concept of seeing the world through both Indigenous and Western perspectives.
The program delivery model will explore a mix of delivery modes that include an in-person hands on component as well as online, hybrid and flexible classes. Students will gain practical experience in our brand-new, on-campus simulation lab and through robust work placements that span more than 500 hours. This allows students to apply in-class learning to a workplace, while building a professional network and ensuring them are career-ready upon graduation.
