Founded in 1967, Sheridan has grown from a local college of 400 students to one of Ontario’s leading postsecondary institutions, educating approximately 22,500 full-time studies students every year on three campuses in three Ontario cities – Oakville, Brampton, and Mississauga. Located in Brampton, one of the fastest-growing and most ethnically diverse communities in Canada, Davis Campus is Sheridan’s largest campus, home to more than 12,000 students. This bustling, innovative and multicultural campus is home to our applied health, community services, engineering and technology programs. In 2017, Davis officially opened its new Skilled Trades Centre. This three-storey, 130,000-square-foot facility is the new home for our skilled trades and apprenticeship programs, which were previously offered in Oakville.

College Diploma - Computer Systems Technician - Cyber Security
Students build their skillset through hands-on experiences that prepare them for entry-level employment without having to complete high-level math courses. As the first public cyber security diploma in Canada, this program can also be their springboard towards future cyber security education or industry certifications.
Sheridan’s Computer Systems Technician – Cyber Security diploma develops two of the four specific skillsets within the Canadian Cyber Security Skills Framework: Operate & Maintain, and Protect & Defend. Students will learn fundamentals of operating systems, Python programming, cloud security, data communications, web/application security, tools used for cyber defence and penetration testing, and more.
Active industry professionals will guide students through a blend of lectures, case studies and group discussions. Students will also work with the latest technology in a cyber range that simulates a security operation centre (SOC).
College Diploma - Computer Engineering Technician
Sheridan College’s Computer Engineering Technician Diploma program enables students to study basic concepts that are relevant to both electronics and computer engineering. They will then learn more specialized skills and tools, including programming, operating systems, programmable logic devices, and microprocessors and microcontrollers. Students will be able to put their new skills to the test and gain experience using cutting-edge technology in the labs of the state-of-the-art Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design. There, students will work with and be inspired by students and professors from the entire suite of engineering programs, including Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering degrees. Computer Engineering Technician graduates can either enter the workforce or go directly into the final year of Sheridan’s Computer Engineering Technology advanced diploma program. Students will also have completed all the academic requirements for professional certification with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT).
