College Diploma - Dental Technology Sciences
Instructional strategies, design and delivery modes to teach core skills and knowledge are based on the National Essential Competencies for Dental Laboratory Technology Practice in Canada. The Dental Technology Sciences program is competency based and utilizes a variety of teaching and learning activities to enable students to achieve core professional competencies. Theory and authentic laboratory practical experiences in labs are provided throughout the program.
Throughout the program, students engage in learning activities including case scenarios, self analysis, research and oral presentation, group work, seminars, flow charting, planning, brainstorming and role-playing. The program is designed to develop skills in communication, team work strategies, self and peer evaluation, critical thinking, decision making and problem solving.
College Diploma - Human Resource Management
This program prepares students for career success in the fashion and apparel industries by developing creative and technical skills and knowledge and providing industry experience. Fundamental skills allows students to experience a fast-paced production process, from design conception to sales. Students in Year 2 use their fashion cycle experiences and foundational skills to complete a self directed garment project. Integrated practicum will allow students to graduate with real-life experience and a solid foundation for their professional network.
Graduates may pursue entrepreneurship, or a career in small or large sized companies, and they will be familiar with both local and offshore production cycles. Graduates may work as Design Assistant, Pattern Assistant, Production Assistant, Quality Assurance Associate, Sample Sewer, and Entrepreneur, among others.
