Global Bridge Education Placement (GLOBE) participates in The Canada Fiesta Extravaganza – A Celebration of Filipino Community, showcasing the cultural, heritage, beauty, food delicacies, and unique aspects of the Philippines. It was participated and supported by various organizations and businesses around Niagara Region.
This is the first big event of the Association after the Covid 19 Pandemic for the past two years. It was held at Firemen’s Park, 2275 Dorchester Rd., Niagara Falls, ON on July 30, 2022.
The Canada Fiesta Extravaganza Caravan events can be enjoyed in different selected cities such as Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, Niagara, and Montreal.
“What I noticed in the festival is the feeling of belongingness, warmness, and gladness of all guests regardless of cultural background, color, language, and race,” said Jose Moneva, GLOBE Education Advisor. “They are there to enjoy, have fun, and experience the show, and music, see old and new friends, buy gift items, and taste the best of Filipino Foods and Delicacies.”
“I had a chance to have a selfie and have a short talk with Consul General Orontes V. Castro-Philippine Consulate General in Toronto,” said Jose.
The Consulate General Team was at the event to assist and offer services for all Filipinos who want to avail a Dual Citizenship program.
The event’s highlight was showcasing Filipino Talents in singing, dancing, and modeling. Last but not least was the mini-concert of a famous Popstar and R & B Filipino Artist- Jay-R who serenaded the audience with his beautiful music.
